If you suffer from being overweight, your appearance and your bodily functions can sometimes feel as if you are years older than you actually are. The rapid development of certain diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, neurological events, kidney disease, skin problems and cancer will sometimes flourish as you get older. The more we allow these free radicals to develop, the increased chances of further damage and advancing illnesses that will generally happen. Also, free radicals can come from other places where they enter your body from sources around you such as overexposure to sun light and direct or second hand smoke from cigarettes.

Antioxidants have seriously been shown to assist in helping to neutralize free radicals. Once free radicals have been neutralized, the damaging effects from them are no longer a threat. So, where is the best place to find antioxidants? As I mentioned above, they are all around you and weight loss nutrition relies heavily upon them. Antioxidants can be found in the produce section of your local store or at the farmer's market. Eating healthier by increasing fresh fruits and vegetable is the best possible source of antioxidants and part of most weight loss nutrition plans.

Some examples of antioxidants are Vitamins A, C and E, Lycopene, Beta Carotene, Lutein, nuts, legumes and fish.

Proper weight loss nutrition concentrates on healthier choices of food and varieties of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean cuts of meat and fish. Weight loss nutrition also teaches how to rely more on natural sources of food instead of living off of processed and packaged foods that have all the added chemicals and by products that make you fat and unhealthy. Weight loss nutrition is about cleaning your system and filling it with the nutrients, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants needed to help fight illnesses and diseases that slow you down, reduce energy, rapidly age your appearance and make you gain weight and keep it on.

Feeling healthier with increased energy is simply possible through healthy eating habits and the right food choices. Remember, food is not your worst enemy! You just need to look at it differently with the right weight loss nutrition program.
